Can’t get refunded anymore when products aren’t returned after 45 days

Can anyone help me here? I have FBA products and when a customer complains Amazon issues refunds and the products are never returned after 45 days and we are never reimbursed anymore. I get every excuse in the book why Amazon doesn’t have to issue a refund to us after 45 days. We have over $2,000 in sales lost in the last few months. I open up a case for each order that was refunded and not returned and the response is always the same. “Please be advised that Customer Service does refund buyers to ensure a great customer experience, which ultimately drives customer satisfaction and loyalty, we reserve the right to make case-by-case exceptions and accept returns for units fulfilled through FBA that may be outside of these guidelines. This encourages customer centric approach.” What a joke! Who can stay in business like this. Basically I have paid Amazon’s customers to use my products that I paid for!!! This is so wrong! Can anyone offer advice?

  1. In most cases, customers can request to return an item within 30 days of receiving it. Amazon may make case-by-case exceptions and accept return requests beyond 30 days of receipt.

    In most cases, if an item does not arrive at a fulfillment center within 45 days of the return request, we will charge the customer and credit your account for the item.

    Also, check to see if you’ve been reimbursed in inventory, as opposed to cash. While it’s against their documented policy, they’ve been doing it. You can find them in your Inventory Adjustments Report. They’ll show up as a Code + N. That’s actually receipt from another owner.
